My name is Katharine Transue, and I am passionate about helping people achieve their best selves. Deep down, everyone has a dream about what their lives would look like in a perfect world, whether that relates to their health, their body, their love life, their parenting, their career, their exercise habits, their eating habits, their social interaction, whatever! My goal is to with this website is to help you uncover your deepest desires, set concrete goals, and help you achieve them, both with helpful information about daily life hacks, as well as by providing a friendly community where you can turn to for support.
I am an adventurer, an entrepreneur, a health coach, a wife, and a mother of two beautiful girls. I grew up as a scholar athlete, so I have always been very focused on excelling at many sports, while still concentrating hard on my studies and work. Therefore, I have a background in exercise, sports training, healthy eating, and time management. I was a competitive ski racer through college, a professional big-mountain skier for the five years after college, and I have a passion for many other sports, including mountain biking, water skiing, hiking, weight lifting, yoga, pilates, and many more!
Now that I’m a mom, the need for time management has not changed, although the activities that I manage have. Raising kind, generous, and well adjusted kids requires most of my time outside of work, but I do still make time to make my health and my interests a priority as well.
Last year, my husband and I did a 30-Day Clean Eating Program that has forever changed our lives, and is the reason that my passion for helping others took shape. My husband wanted to lose some weight, which he had been struggling with for quite awhile, and insisted that he wanted to the program that his buddy was doing. I knew that if he had any chance in succeeding, he needed to do the program that he was fired up about, and that I needed to do it with him for support. So, I started my journey thinking that I didn’t actually need to cleanse (because, yes, I already ate a really healthy, balanced diet), and that I was just doing it to help my husband. Oh man, I think that might have been the first time, EVER (wink, wink), that I was wrong! After I pushed past the initial week of detox symptoms, I couldn’t believe how much better my body was feeling! The funny thing is, I didn’t really think I was feeling bad before. I thought the way I felt (always tired, always bloated, always waking up feeling yucky), was just normal. But it was not! Until you have the chance to experience what your body was actually made to feel like, when it doesn’t have to compensate for all the suboptimal things you put into it, you will never truly know how good “good” can feel. I wake up feeling really rested and clear headed, I have way more energy all day, I don’t experience that afternoon grogginess, and my stomach isn’t constantly bloated! (Oh and by the way, yes, my husband lost 35 lbs in 3 months, and has been able to keep it off!)
Now that I have experienced this drastic change in how great my body feels, I’m so passionate about helping other people to feel this great too. Plus, now I have more energy to accomplish other goals in my life, and work on being the best version of me, both for myself and for my family. I want to share what I’m learning with others, make it easier for others to improve their lives, and accomplish their goals, by enlightening them with all my research and knowledge on many health related topics.
